COVID19 (unexpected) lesson : HOME EVERYTHING

Oh yes…

HOME SWEET HOME THEY SAID ?

When I heard the news about #stayhome #staysafe I started making a list of all the things I could do for myself or my customers.  I figured I could use all the commute times for more productive things such as writing articles, upgrade my website, write e-books for my customers and finally upgrade some projects we had been working on.  But we are beginning week 5 of confinement and I still have not manage to do more than regular business.

I underestimated big time the *home-everything* factor : on top of the 8 hours work day, we had to come up with a couple extra hours for *Home schooling* then an extra couple of hours for *outside playing* then an extra hour for *cooking 2 meals a day* (yes because we did not stock up on pasta and are used to real cooking) and then the potential extra hour or so to get some workout done. Obviously, that turned out in us getting up earlier than usual, working later than usual leading to exhaustion by the end of the second week.

I don’t know how other people did, maybe it was like that for us because we were both lucky enough to be able to work from home and still have enough work to do. So I take it as a blessing, but after the first 2 weeks, overtiredness took over and we decided to start taking turns off work to ease up the routine

Thank you Luxemburg for allowing workers to take *child care days off*.
