COVID 19 (unexpected) lessons : NEW HABITS

We all have discovered new things I am sure.

For example, there is a farm in my village where I can buy fresh eggs from chickens I can see run around every day. Why did I not know about that and bought my eggs in the store?

I have realized I can do some short workouts or yoga even when everyone is home. For some reason I always limited myself to do it when I was alone, but it is actually very possible, so this new process is a keeper.

I have also discovered that I can limit my shopping to every other week and that I do not have to force myself to go shopping every week and yet still have fresh products to cook if I keep that new organization lockdown has imposed on us.

We rediscovered many toys/activities we had in the house like playing frisbee : kids have a blast while they never used it before unless at the beach. And our powerplate that has been sleeping in the garage since the kids were born? Very much operational indeed… simple things but small victories too.

I also underestimated the power of reflexion : I know better than ever what I NEED versus what I like and what I want to fight for. Nice reality check in process for sure.

So all this comes down to one conclusion : hopefully the lock down will resume by the beginning of May as planned for the sake of our business operations, save jobs and limit the impact on the economy. However, on the personal level, it has brought more good than bad and it has proven to all of us that we can do it, we can adapt and adjust.
